BeardCast ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

BeardCast does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (beard profile, journal entries, notification settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

BeardCast uses approximate location solely to fetch weather data from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). We do not store, log, or transmit location data to any server. Location is used in real time only to retrieve weather conditions for your area. If you deny location permission, you may enter a city manually — no location data is stored in that case either.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your beard profile, journal entries, saved locations, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for morning grooming reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's Settings screen.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Free weather API used to fetch local weather data. No personal information is sent to Open-Meteo. See their terms of service.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
