DigDay ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

DigDay does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (saved sites, detector profiles, settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

Location is used solely to fetch weather data from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). We do not store, log, or transmit your location data to any DigDay server. Location coordinates are used only during an active API request and are not retained beyond the session cache on your device.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No location history or persistent location logs
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your saved sites, detector profiles, weather cache, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for GO day alerts, beach cut warnings, and post-rain ready reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Weather data is fetched from Open-Meteo's commercial API (open-meteo.com). Your location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo solely to retrieve weather data. See their terms for details.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
