Flyway ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Location Data

Flyway uses your device location solely to fetch local weather data from Open-Meteo.com for birding conditions estimates. Location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo.com only to fetch weather data. We do not store, log, or transmit location data to any server operated by Flyway or PARK-JUHWAN.

Data Collection

Flyway does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. All app data (habitat preferences, saved hotspots, notification settings, cached weather) is stored locally on your device only.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No persistent location history
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers
• No birding logs or sightings data

Local Storage

The app stores your habitat preferences, saved hotspot names and coordinates, cached weather responses, and notification settings locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

Pro users may enable overnight fallout alerts. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings at any time.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo.com: Weather data provider (CC BY 4.0). Your location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather forecasts. Open-Meteo's privacy policy applies to this data transfer. See open-meteo.com.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
