Overview

InkCast ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

InkCast does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (tattoo profiles, settings, exposure logs) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

InkCast uses your approximate location solely to fetch local UV index data from Open-Meteo. We do not store, log, or transmit your location data. Location is used only at the moment of the UV data request and is not retained. If you deny location permission, you may enter your city manually.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your tattoo profiles, settings, and UV exposure logs locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for SPF reapply reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch UV index weather data. No personal information is sent. See their terms.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
