Overview

MeltCast ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

MeltCast does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (skin profile, product preferences, notification settings, daily history) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

MeltCast uses your approximate location solely to fetch local weather data from Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com). We do not store, log, or transmit your location data to any server. Location is used in real time and discarded immediately after the weather request completes. If you deny location permission, you may enter your city manually instead.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or skin condition data beyond what you enter locally
• No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your skin profile, product preferences, daily melt score history, and notification settings locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for retouch reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's Settings screen.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch weather data. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API. See their terms of service. No personal data is sent — only coordinates for the weather lookup.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
