Overview

SpoolCast ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

SpoolCast does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (spool inventory, dry history, settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

SpoolCast uses your approximate location solely to fetch local weather data (humidity, temperature, dew point) from Open-Meteo. We do not store, log, or transmit your location data to any server. Your coordinates are used only for the weather API request and are never saved beyond the current session.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or personal data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers
• No location history

Local Storage

The app stores your spool inventory, dry history logs, and settings locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for dry reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch local weather data. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API. See their terms of service.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
