Horse Rug ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Horse Rug does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (horse profiles, rug logs, wardrobe, notification settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

Horse Rug uses your approximate location solely to fetch the local weather forecast from Open-Meteo, so the rug advice matches your local conditions. You can also enter your location or the weather manually instead. We do not store, log, or transmit location data to our servers.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No stored or logged location history
• No health or veterinary records
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your horse profiles, rug logs, wardrobe, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for flip and rug-change reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch weather forecast data for your location. Requests are subject to the Open-Meteo terms. No personally identifiable information is sent.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
