Pasture Laminitis ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Pasture Laminitis does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (horse profiles, grazing logs, settings, notification preferences) is stored locally on your device only.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or medical data about you
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers
• No third-party data brokers

Location Data

The app uses your device location only to fetch local weather data (overnight low, cloud cover, rainfall, frost events) from the public Open-Meteo weather API. Coordinates are sent directly from your device to Open-Meteo and are never stored on any server we control. You can disable location and enter a city manually instead.

Local Storage

The app stores your horse profiles, grazing logs, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for frost alerts, overnight-low alerts, and daily turnout reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch weather data. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve the local forecast. See their terms of service.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
