Piercing Care ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Piercing Care does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. Everything you enter (piercing placements, dates, notes, notification settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

Piercing Care does not use or collect location data. The app works entirely offline and requires no location access.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No location data
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your piercing records, notes, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (a local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

Photo Library

Pro users may optionally attach photos to their care log. Photos are selected from your device's photo library and stored locally only. The app does not access your camera or upload photos to any server.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for saline-rinse and downsize-window reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Not Medical Advice

Piercing Care is an informational day-counter and scheduling tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or assess infection, and it is not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified piercer or healthcare professional. Timelines shown in the app are general estimates and everyone is different.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
