Reptile Weather ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Reptile Weather does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (reptile profiles, daily logs, shed records, UVB bulb history, notification settings) is stored locally on your device only.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Location Data

The app uses your device location only to fetch local weather data (UV index, temperature, dew point, wind) from the Open-Meteo weather service. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo for the weather request and are never stored on any server. You can also enter a location manually instead of granting location permission.

Local Storage

The app stores your reptile profiles, daily score logs, shed cycle records, UVB bulb tracker data, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for mist time alerts, outdoor window alerts, stuck shed risk warnings, and UVB bulb replacement reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch local weather data. Your coordinates are sent with each request. See their terms.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
