RoastWeather ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Location Data

RoastWeather accesses your device location solely to fetch local weather data from Open-Meteo.com. Location coordinates are never stored, logged, or transmitted to any server operated by the developer. The app stores only the resulting weather snapshot (temperature, humidity, pressure) locally on your device for caching purposes.

Weather Data

Weather data is fetched from Open-Meteo (customer-api.open-meteo.com) under a commercial license. Open-Meteo does not track individual users on our behalf. Open-Meteo data is provided under CC BY 4.0.

Data Collection

RoastWeather does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (roaster profiles, batch logs, settings) is stored locally on your device only. No personal data is collected by the app developer.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No location coordinates (only ephemeral, used to fetch weather)
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your roaster profiles, batch logs, weather cache, and app settings locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for roast reminders and bean-prep alerts. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.
• Open-Meteo: Weather data provider. Open-Meteo receives your coordinates to return local weather data. See their terms for details.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
