Overview

StainTime ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

StainTime does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (projects, finish profiles, settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

StainTime requests your device location solely to fetch local temperature and humidity from Open-Meteo, an open-source weather API. Location coordinates are used only for this fetch request and are not stored, logged, or transmitted to any server controlled by us. You may also enter temperature and humidity manually without granting location permission.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No stored location history
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your project data, finish profiles, settings, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for recoat ready alerts. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.
• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch local weather data. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo only to retrieve temperature and humidity. See their terms for details.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
