Varroa Timing ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Varroa Timing does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (colony profiles, mite counts, treatment history, notification settings) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

The app uses your approximate location solely to fetch a local temperature forecast from a public weather service (Open-Meteo), which the app needs to check treatment temperature windows. Location is used only on your device to make that request. We do not store, log, or transmit your location data to our servers, and you can decline location access and enter temperatures manually instead.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No stored or shared location history
• No health or medical data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your colony profiles, mite count history, treatment records, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for treatment-window and re-dose reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to retrieve local temperature forecast data based on your approximate coordinates. Requests are made directly from your device. See their terms.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
