Window Air ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

Window Air does not require an account and does not transmit your personal data to our servers. Your sensitivities, saved locations, history, and notification settings are stored locally on your device only. Your approximate location is used solely to fetch outdoor air-quality data and is never stored on any server we control.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No precise GPS storage — coordinates are used only to fetch air data, then discarded
• No health or medical records
• No usage analytics or cross-app tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your sensitivities, saved rooms and locations, verdict history, and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your approximate location to request outdoor air-quality, pollen, and weather data from a public weather API (Open-Meteo). Your coordinates are sent only to fetch that data and are never stored on any server we operate. You can instead enter a city manually and skip location access entirely.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Purchase status is used only to unlock Pro features. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for air-quality alerts and ventilation reminders. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch outdoor air-quality, pollen, and weather data for your location. Only coordinates (or a city you enter) are sent to retrieve data. See their terms.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
