Overview

HumidBake ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.

Data Collection

HumidBake does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you enter (baking sessions, profile settings, notification preferences) is stored locally on your device only.

Location Data

HumidBake uses your device location solely to fetch outdoor weather data (temperature, humidity, dew point) from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service. Your location coordinates are sent directly to Open-Meteo to retrieve local weather — they are never stored, logged, or transmitted to any server operated by us. Location is requested only when you open the app to fetch current conditions.

What We Don't Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No stored or retained location data
• No health or dietary data
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or advertising identifiers

Local Storage

The app stores your baking session logs, profile settings (oven type, AC, altitude, experience), and notification preferences locally on your device using Hive (local database). This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data.

Photos

Pro users may optionally attach photos to session logs. Photos are selected from your device's photo library and stored locally only. The app does not access your camera or upload photos to any server.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings.

Push Notifications

The app uses local notifications only (scheduled on your device) for baking window alerts and session timers. No data is sent to any push notification server. You can enable or disable notifications in the app's Settings.

Third-Party Services

• Open-Meteo: Used to fetch weather data. Location coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve local conditions. See Open-Meteo terms.
• RevenueCat: Used for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous transaction data as described in their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
